Theresa Fox – Programs and Operations Director

Theresa was born and raised in the Black Hills of South Dakota. Her family always fostered a love and appreciation for the outdoors through fishing, hiking, skiing, and many other recreational activities. Her passion in life has always been to help people and she is so grateful to have found a career where she can combine her love for the outdoors and serving others. Theresa went to school at Metropolitan State University of Denver where she received her Bachelor’s degree in Recreational Therapy and soon after became a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) and a PSIA Certified Level 1 Adaptive Instructor. She has worked and volunteered for various agencies serving people with disabilities including Camp Paha and the King Adult Day Enrichment Program which she thoroughly enjoyed. Theresa completed her Recreation Therapy intership with the United States Adaptive Recreation Center in Big Bear Lake, CA which is where her outdoor adaptive journey began. Theresa fell in love with the program and stayed on as a staff member for a few years until making the decision to move to Steamboat to work for STARS. Theresa is very excited to now be a part of True North and looks forward to the bright future ahead.
