Meet our Staff

Matt Courtney - Care Counselor

Hello True North families,

I’m so excited to introduce myself as the new Program Director at True North here in Steamboat Springs. It’s truly an honor to step into this role and continue supporting the incredible individuals and families who make up this community.

My background includes years of hands-on experience in behavior support, skill-building, and creating structured environments where individuals can grow with confidence. Earlier in my career, I developed strong communication, adaptability, and problem-solving skills while working in fast-paced, diverse environments—qualities that continue to guide my leadership style today. I strongly believe in consistency, positive reinforcement, and meeting each person where they are. My goal is always to help participants build independence, strengthen social skills, and feel proud of their progress.

As a parent of a child with ASD and ADHD, I deeply understand how important it is to feel confident in the people supporting your family member. That perspective shapes the way I lead with patience, empathy, creativity, and structure. I am committed to ensuring our programs are organized, meaningful, and filled with opportunities for growth, connection, and fun.

Since moving to Steamboat Springs in 2024, my family has fallen in love with this community, and I feel grateful to serve families here in a role that truly matters. I’m passionate about strengthening our programs, supporting our staff, and continuing to build something special together.

Thank you for trusting True North. I truly look forward to connecting with you and being part of your family member’s journey.

With love,
Nicoll Alexander
